Mango Sensation

19 weeks

Ben is the size of a mango!  Yummy!  I can't believe how big he is now.  He is 6 inches long and just about 8 ounces.  I can really feel him flipping around and kicking me.  I can only imagine how much fun he is having just bouncing around, swimming in all of the wonderful baby juices... ewww yukky! Movement means he is growing well.  I can't wait till the next appointment on December 26th to see another sonogram. I can't wait to see everything be more developed.  Maybe we can see facial features!  Fingers crossed.  I sure hope he looks exactly like his daddy.  That would just make my heart melt.  I love all of my guys.  Tyler, Choppy and now Mr. Ben.

Picture taken and edited by Tyler Burns

Tyler and I had dinner at Original Joe's tonight.  He really wanted to shoot pool.  Hey... if he's going to buy me a burger, I'll play as many rounds of pool he wants.  :)  I actually did very well... kinda.  I wonder if little Ben will be as good as his daddy in sports.  The little Mr. surely liked being there tonight.  He kicked me when I was shooting and getting lessons.  It could've also been the Sprite that I HAD to have!  Yum.

Tyler cleaning the shower

More prep for the baby... Tyler is cleaning the shower tonight.  I usually do that, but I don't want the fumes to harm Mr. Ben.  I love being preggers.  LESS CHORES!  Hmmm what other chore could be too "dangerous" for me to handle.  This shouldn't be to hard.  :)

A little blurry.  Pic taken by one of my 3rd graders.

I got a little Steelers Jammie in my school's Secret Santa gift exchange.  I LOVE it!  I looked at it all day.  This time next year, I'm going to have to make sure Ben's jammies are washed for game days.  My Secret Santa must be someone I'm very close with at school.  So far, I've received a lil gift for me and a lil gift for Benny.  That is just so creative and thoughtful!  I love the stationary and the santa pen so much!  Who doesn't love school/office supplies?!  I'm the #1 fan!

Bell Pepper Benny Update - 18 weeks

Santa Claus is coming to your home!  Tyler and I went around to all of our friends' homes to have everyone pick their Secret Santa.  It was so much fun.  We left home at 6:30pm and didn't get home until 1am.  We stopped for dinner with some folks and had social hour with the others.  Can't wait till our xmas party.

We have a new plan.  Every weekend, we choose one project to tackle before little Benny comes.  Our first project was cleaning out the bonus room.  It's such a cute space for a little boy.  We are going to go with a nautical theme in the room ~ anchors, boats, ocean maps, compasses, whales, etc...  Our color scheme will be navy blue, baby blue, sandy tan, and brown.  I really think Mr. Ben will like it!  I'm already in love with it.  Melissa (my little sister) found a huge anchor that we can hang in his room.  It's so perfect!

18 weeks

It was so crazy how the "bump" showed up overnight.  LITERALLY!  In the beginning, I was bloated.  Then it seemed like every time I ate, my stomach grew 5 inches.  It was nothing like what Tyler and I noticed overnight in week 16.  My stomach felt as hard as a rock.  In the next couple of days my stomach started to stick out!  It was so crazy!  I love it.

Every morning, both Tyler and I feel my belly.  It gets a little harder everyday.  Now I truly have a little baby bump.  I call it my Benny Bump.  I love it so much!

18 weeks

At 17 weeks I was having syrup cravings.  All I wanted to eat was pancakes and french toast.  Of course Tyler makes me and Benny whatever we want.  One night, we were watching Moon Shiners and I was super hungry.  Tyler made me a waffle and drew the letter B for Ben with syrup in the waffle.  It was just too sweet!  I had a whole bottled water with the waffle.  After about 5 minutes I felt something funny in my tummy.  People described the feeling like butterflies in your belly, but when I felt Benny move, it felt like a little baby moving.  He was flailing his arms and legs.  It was so cool!  I was just speechless.  This is the most wonderful experience ever.  Women are so lucky to get to carry their babies.  I can't wait to meet my little active boy.

Blue Benjamin

Our sweet little boy

Dinner at Montgomery Inn

On November 17th, we found out that our little baby is a boy!  We are so excited to know the gender of the baby.  It really makes everything we talk about more real.  Not that we didn't think it was real to begin with, it's just really real now.  When the nurse said, "It's a boy!" I started to cry uncontrollably.  I felt so full of happiness.  All of my speculations and predictions have come true.  I had dreams about Benny before we found out.  The first dream had to do with bacon and a diaper (details will be spared), the second was of a doctor telling me that the baby is a boy, and the third was of me feeding my lil boy rice soup.  He loved Cambodian food!

We had a dinner with all of our closest friends that evening.  We decided it would be fun to reveal the gender of the baby by dressing in blue.  Most of them guessed it right away while the Richards and Hoovers took a lot longer to figure it out.  :)  There are three of us in our group of friends that are pregnant right now (Me, Kiley & Joy).  Kiley is due 18 days after me and Joy is due in February.  Along with all of the preggos around are lot of kids!  Jill has a one year old,  Carrie has her 2 lil guys and Joy has Haddie.  I just love that I have a group of friends to "grow up" with and share this wonderful time in our lives.  Life is just so great.  I couldn't be any happier.  A friend of our is moving to Boulder.  My wish is for them to come back sooner than planned.

In my family there are so many new babies too!  Our neice Amber just had a baby boy - Lorenzo.  Dara & Gerson just had a baby boy - Aramis.  My uncle Ley and aunt Michelle just had a little boy - Dylan.  Finally, Chanrun & Breanna just had a baby boy - Sorin.  When Ben is born, he will have so many friends to play with!
15 weeks

Although it might just be all of the food I've eaten during the Thanksgiving break, we've definitely started to notice a little bump!  My tummy is really hard.  There is definitely something going on in there!  Our baby is the size of a navel orange.  I'm so proud of the little guy for doing such a great job!  Next checkup is on November 28th.  It will be the 16 weeks checkup!  Yay!  Time flies.

Lime Baby

There's a Lime Baby in me. I heard baby's heartbeat at the 12 week appointment on November 2nd. It was so awesome.

We babysat Leylynn, Serey and Dylan last night. It was so much fun having a full house. Can't wait till Baby B is here.

Last week I was so tired after work so I skipped my workouts all week, but I'm back on a great schedule again. I'm shooting for a workout a day! Baby B going to come out with abs of steel!

It's Sunday Cheat Day. Off to eat pancakes. After a workout of course!

Breaking the Baby News

These are the ones I have pictures for.... :)

MELISSA

Me: I can drive you to your Bachelorette Party this weekend.
Melissa: Why?  Are you pregnant?
Me: I don't think so (I already knew that I was though :))  Wanna take a test for fun?
Melissa: Sure.  That would be fun.

Melissa didn't believe it was positive even after seeing the plus sign.
She had to make sure by reading the pamphlet.

For both CHRISTINA and SELINA I bought a book called Where is Baby's Pumpkin?
Baby tries to find her pumpkin throughout the whole book.  On the last page of the book, it read:
"Is Baby's pumpkin on the porch?"  I added a post it in the book that read: "Yes, and Sunara's little pumpkin is in her belly.  Congrats you're going to be an auntie!"

Hey I got you a book!  She started to read it to us like she was a teacher.

SHe read the part that said she was becoming an auntie!

Rereading it to make sure it said what it said.  So cute

Christina's pics are on my old phone.
I can't figure out how to get them transferred onto my computer.  :(
I'm working on it still.  AHHHHH!  It's driving me crazy!

MOM

Me: Mom I got you a book.  Always Have Popsicles.  A Guide to being the Best Grandparent.
Mom: Who's a grandparent?  Oh... wait you're pregnant?

Congrats!

We look alike in this pic.  Love mom.

It was so nice to tell my mom.  She will be the hottest lil G-Ma ever!

My friends, sisters, and Junite were all there.  LOVE.

I LOVE Lina's hug.

JILL

We were shopping for outfits for Melissa's Bachelorette Trip.
Me: I heard Nate did really well in Roulette last weekend.
Jill: Yea!  He played number 3 over and over again.
Me: Darn.... we usually play 3 too, but this time I had Tyler play 5 because that's the month our baby will be born.... (I waited for her to register what I said.  Below is her thinking face.)  Kiley already knew....

Surprise Jill!  You're gonna have another new niece or nephew!
Kiley is still excited!

I wish I took more pictures or was more creative with surprising everyone.
BUT it is just so hard to keep it a secret when all you want to do is shout it from the mountain top that "WE ARE PREGNANT.  Wooooo!"  That's kinda what I ended up doing so not everyone got a super special, planned out surprise.  I'm just not patient enough!  We are just so happy.
