I'm still catching up on pics and posts!  In the last week, I've blogged/posted a million times to try to catch up!  The last 10 weeks with Benjamin in our lives have been so wonderfully amazing that I haven't had time to post after every milestone or new adventure as a family.  In the beginning, I was too exhausted and basically didn't know my own name.  I think there were days that I didn't have time to eat or shower!  I know, yucky.  Since then, I've just been lost in Benny World.  I currently have 1600 pictures on my camera phone, most of which are of Benjamin.  Whether it's a new outfit he's in or him just showing us a sweet smile, we are always snapping pics of our handsome little guy.  Here are some more pics!

What the Pho?

Pho is a Vietnamese dish full of noodley and meaty goodness!  My family makes the best pho (we call it ga theiw in khmer).  When it comes to pho, you are really judged by the soup that you make.  In order to make the best soup, one needs to slow cook, bones, beef, onions, and spices together for hours.  This takes patience and skill.  My grandma, mom and my uncle Junite all make the best soup.  BUT the last time we had pho, JUNITE made THE BEST soup we have ever had!

I think it had something to do with all of the fresh ingredients he used.  He purchased all of the meat at a local bucher's, Sherman's.  He also went to a farmers market for all of the veggies!  They were huge!

The final product... below are the pics of how to make pho!  Tyler and I are going to make our own soup in a couple of weeks.  Fingers crossed that it will be good.

Fourth of July 2013

Thank you Auntie Abby for the shirt!

It was a very rainy Fourth of July this year.  We went to our neighbors house for a cookout.  Because Ben was so sleepy and hungry, the party that started at noon, did not get blessed with the arrival the the Burns' until 2pm.  Ha!  We were 2 hours late.  It's so funny how we are late to everything now.  This little Benny controls our day.  It's always something!  Most of the time we are so busy with Ben that we need the extra time to get ourselves ready.
