3 busy months

It has been 3 months since the last post.  Needless to say, we've been busy.  I'm going to attempt to "catch up" the blog.  So here goes...

November

Ben started sleeping in his own crib in his bedroom.

I found this Captain America hat from Simply Vague, my new favorite store in Polaris.
I love Ben's brown eyes in this pic.

Ben did not get to nap on Thanksgiving Day.  He was completely spoiled by the whole fam.

December

He loves snack time!
I got to spend so much time at home with him during Winter Break.  It was one of the best times of my life.  I feel like he grew up so much in those two weeks.  He started to sit up on his own and his personality was really starting to come out.

Daddy and Ben

Ben was really starting to be confident with sitting on his own!  I love this picture because it shows him in his PJs late in the day.  This is what we did during the whole Winter Break!

We were reading Twas the Night Before Christmas to Benjamin.  Last year we read it to him when he was in my belly.  We hope to make this a tradition, reading it to him on the night before Christmas every year.  I wonder if Santa will come tonight... :)

Santa did come!

What did you get Ben?

He loved the bow better than the gift.  :)

The best gift WE could've ever asked for.

Although he's still super sweet looking, notice the red cheeks.  He started to show symptoms of being sick around this time.  We took him into the doctors the next day, ear infection.  It was one of the saddest times we have ever experienced.  Watching your little baby sick is the worst thing for a parent to go through.  It was also super hard because I couldn't really care for him bc I had just gotten my wisdom teeth out.  I was in bed and in PAIN while my poor baby was sick.  Our tough little guy was also put on a nebulizer to clear up his wheezing.  He was such a trooper!

January

This was the best time to be a teacher.  We have had snow day after snow day.  I couldn't've planned it better.  Having a 7 month old at home and getting the phone call that we have a snow day has been the highlight of my month!  All I want to do is be home with my little guy and in this month my wish came true.

All parents think that their child is incredible!  Or so I think they do because we definitely think the world of Ben.  But look at this pic!  It's insane that our little 8 month old is standing in his crib!  I mean, we just put him up there 2 months ago!  Time to lower the bed!  Ha!

Funny story that we never want to forget... I handed the baby monitor over to Tyler, who was downstairs making lunch, so I could jump in the shower really quick.  As I was getting out of the shower to dry off, I heard Tyler laugh.  Shortly afterward, he was showing me the live feed of Ben on the baby monitor.  It was a close up, face shot of him!!!  Little Ben had pulled himself up, scooted over to the monitor and started to "inspect it"  It is really funny/scary when you click the view button and see your child's face up close and personal, in night shot!  Needless to say, we had to move the bed down to the lowest setting immediately!  If we waited any longer, we might've had a little baby greeting us at his bedroom door!

I'm hoping I don't let this much time pass by before posting again.  I love having this blog as a diary that I can come back to and read to remember/relive the most amazing days of my life.  I'm truly blessed and thank my lucky stars every night for the wonderful life that I have.
