Irish Baby - 31 1/2 weeks

Celebrating St. Patty's Day with my part Irish hubby... or so he says

Tyler is just my best friend in the whole wide world.  We always have the best time together just the two of us.  St. Patty's Day 2013 was another example of only needing each other to have a blast.  I woke up Sunday morning, reached for my ipad, and checked Facebook.  I saw that my friend Deb was getting ready to take her kids to a St. Patty's Day Parade.  Immediately I found out where she was going.  15 minutes later, Tyler and I got dressed and went out to party in Downtown Columbus where she was out with her kids!

Tyler's 1st experience with green beer - souvenir cup

North Market for Perogies, a brat, beef pho, bubble tea, and Tyler's Koko Brown Hawaiian Beer
needless to say.... feeding the preggo girl

I've been obsessed with smoothies with bobas in them.
This deliciousness was a mango smoothie with lychee and mango bobas... oh YES!

Watching the parade - there were so many kids filling their bags with the candy tossed by the people in the parade.  So much fun watching them.  Can't wait to take Ben.  Tyler and I caught 5 green beads!  WOOOO!

Pittsburgh's Prize Winning Pineapple

Ben is the size of a pineapple... I think a very small, 3 1/2 lb pineapple.  We took the little pineapple to Pittsburgh this weekend.  Of course, we stopped to spoil him to a Primanti Brothers sandwich.  It was absolutely delicious.  We also learned that Pennsylvania does not charge tax on clothing... I know where we are shopping from now on!

A couple of years ago, we took a picture in front of Heinz Field.  We loved it so much, we framed it and hung it up in Tyler's "man cave".  I was thinking that it might be nice to make a tradition out of this,  so we took my preggo little belly to the same spot to take a picture.  It turned out so well!!  We would've taken so many more pics, but it was so cold, I got grumpy immediately and Tyler knew to steer clear of his preggo wife.

2011

- just learning how to use the self timer on the camera... almost didn't make it... lol

2013
- Pregnant and so happy

Next year we plan on taking Benny when he is 6 months to the same spot for our family pic!!  Can't wait to take him to Pittsburgh and to stroll around with him in one of our favorite cities!

2013 OU Sibs Weekend

Still February posting!

We went to OU for Sibs Weekend.  Lina was so excited for our visit as were we to visit her.  We had a blast spending the day with her.  She gave us a tour of her room and the campus.  What a gorgeous campus!  It was so much fun to see my little sister there!  I so wish we could've stayed longer.

Our walk from Lina's dorm room to Court St. (Where the action is.  Winkers)

Love my little sisters

Love my sweet baby daddy

7 Springs Ski Trip

Still posting things from February!!  Ski trip was a blast.  I had a lot of fun even though I didn't get to ski this year.  My friend Kiley and I (both preggos) just sat around and took many naps while the crew was out skiing and boarding.  I was absolutely okay with taking a break and relaxing in an amazing house.  Ski trips are the best because of the "chill factor".  We just hang out, eat, and play games all weekend.  Love my friends!

Lil Acorn Squash's Crib

Ben is the size of an acorn squash.  What?  I'm not even sure what an acorn squash looks like.  Thanks thebump.com for the attempt at an analogy.  Lol.

Well, we bought the little acorn squash a crib today.  We LOVE it.  I can't wait for it to come in so we can build it and start putting his room together.

After we bought the crib, we walked next door to Hobby Lobby.  We were on a quest to find nautical things to decorate Ben's room.  We purchased a boat wheel, a wooden box to keep little trinkets in, and a weathered looking frame for a map of the Hawaiian Islands.  He's our little "Hawaiian baby" so we wanted to bring a little bit of Hawaii to his room.  Pics will be up in a month or so after we are done putting the room together.

Dresser - we will also use it as a changing table

Benny's Crib

Crib shopping on a Saturday - so fun!!

Testing out a rocking chair - still not sure if we are going to purchase one though

Ben hears everything - Tiesto Concert

Baby Center's website has been so much fun to read and to get updates about lil baby's growth.  As soon as I found out that Benjamin could hear (26 weeks), I turned on some music for him.  He started moving around as soon as he heard Tom Petty's Freefalling.  After telling Tyler that, he downloaded the whole entire Greatest Hits album!  If I put my cell phone on my belly, Ben starts moving around which makes the phone jump around.  It's so fun to watch.

February 28, 2013

At 29 weeks, we took Ben to the Tiesto concet!  The music was pumping and baby was dancing... or holding his ears shut... one or the other.  :)  Hope he loves techno music when he gets older.

Mommy and Daddy with glowsticks!

Blue Jackets

We went to our 1st Blue Jackets game for Melissa's bday.  It was so much fun!  The Blue Jackets won!

Busy February!!

It has been over a month since the last post!  I hate that we've been so busy this past month.  I will do my best to catch up the blog.

I've been trying my best to make sure I put nutritious foods for Ben in my body.  Sometimes it is so hard to not give in to the sugary stuff, Mc Ds... love your Oreo McFlurries - Ben gets his calcium and I get my sugar fix.  Win - Win

27 weeks in one of my new sweater dresses

another 27 week pic

I took so many pics of myself this week because I had to spend it by myself for a couple of days while Tyler was in Orlando for Leaders Club.  It is always hard to be away from him, but it was exceptionally hard being pregnant and away from him.  Even at 27 weeks, I need a lot of help with the simple things. Without Tyler, it took me 5 minutes to get my cowboy boots off!!!  Ha!  Also, I had to get my own water and make breakfast on the weekends.  I usually have Tyler to spoil me while I lay in bed using the, "I'm can't get up because I'm so preggo." excuse.

Luckily, it was a short trip.  He was back to watch the Super Bowl with me on Sunday.  Benjamin's first Super Bowl was and exciting one.  Ravens vs. 49ers.  Ravens won.  We were cheering on the 49ers.

Chopper the Snow Dog

We have definitely gotten more snow this year than last.  Chopper loves it.  Most dogs don't like to walk in the snow... not our lil Choppy.  He will bury his face in the snow and jump around like a little bunny!
