In Love In Paradise

We had a wonderful "pre-conception" vacation in Maui.  We stayed at the Sheraton Resort and Spa in Kaanapali, Maui.  The Sheraton is popular for having a great snorkeling spot right off of their beach.  We snorkeled there twice and luckily saw a sea turtle.  We followed it and swam with it for a couple minutes.  Though it wasn't that long, it was such a joy to see one!

This is a picture of the sea turtle we swam with.
I took this photo of a snorkeler swimming right next to the sea turtle from our room.

Also, right off of the beach is a cliff called Black Rock.  People jump off of this cliff into the water.  I did NOT jump off - the disaster stories I heard about bathing suit malfunctions scared me off!  Tyler did jump though!  He was so brave and looked wonderful up there.

We took a bus tour called the Road to Hana tour.  Hana highway is known for having a very bumpy, curvy road right on the side of a mountain.  There are times when you feel like the bus would tip over, and fall 500 feet into the ocean.  On the way to Hana, we stopped to see waterfalls and breathtaking views.  The drive was so curvy I felt what I thought was morning sickness, haha, but turns out, I had a strong case of motion sickness.

Beautiful views at every stop.

Black lava rock on the beaches.  Super clear water though.  Amazing.

Warning at the black sand beach.  I love the stick person.  Ouchy.

Check out the couple making out right above Tyler's head.

Sitting high at the beach.

Seven Sacred Pools.  During low tide, you can swim in the pools.  Notice the police in the background, he's making everyone get out because of a flash flood warning from up above in the mountain.

Hiking to the Seven Sacred Pools

Beautiful hike

Great view
