The Best Day Ever: Love at First Sight

Day 1 at home. He loved his Mumbo is Aunt Melissa bought for him at first. We used to get him to sleep on it for hours. It's funny how one day, he loves something and the next, he's looking for the newest coolest thing. I guess we have to get used to that!

He also loves his elephant blankie, or maybe I love his elephant blankie. I think elephants are so awesome! Thank you Auntie Jill and Uncle Nate! We swaddled Benjamin in his blankie from the moment he was born. I think it really comforts him because every time we wrap him in it, he falls asleep.

I didn't think it was possible for me to love Tyler any more than I already do, yet every day since we've had Ben I've fallen in love with him more. It's just been an amazing journey learning about Ben's growth week after week. Now he is a full size baby! Finally in our arms!

Days before we found out that we were pregnant, I sat on the couch rubbing my tummy praying that Ben's little zygote would "latch on" or start his little journey in my belly. I like to think that he heard my prayers. I promised him (at the time we didn't know it was HIM) that if he came into our lives, we would do everything in our power to give him a "fun life". I promised that every day would be THE BEST DAY EVER. That was the whole purpose of starting this blog a year ago. I hope that one day when he reads all of the previous blogs, he laughs at all of the things his mommy and daddy did before he was born and continues to add to the blog as we venture through life together.
