Tyler always told me that I look like a Hawaiian. It makes sense that he could think that. Most Hawaiians are a mix of many of the asian ethnicities. We learned from our tour guide Barry (on the Road to Hana tour) that many of the immigrants to Hawaii were from China. There were 18,ooo people brought there to work on the sugar cane farms.
It was funny when a Hawaiian man asked me if I was local. I never really thought I looked Hawaiian. I just thought that I look Cambodian, but when the man asked me if I was local, I started to look around. All of the Hawaiian men looked like my uncles and the ladies looked like my aunts. HA!
We LOVED the Old Lahaina Luau! The show was so colorful, dancers were gorgeous, and the live band was bumpin'!
Unlimited Mai Tais. Too many will make you loopy!
My favorite flower. Lime green orchids. They were in every Mai Tai.
Aloha
